Package Unit Repair & Replacement in Rolling Hills Estates

When a package unit fails at your Rolling Hills Estates property, you need a company that has seen it before. Package units sit exposed on rooftops, handling heating and cooling in a single cabinet, and they take the full force of coastal conditions every day. Salt air accelerates corrosion on coils, electrical connections, and cabinet panels. Marine layer moisture settles on components overnight and contributes to rust and mold growth inside the unit. These are not problems you can ignore or troubleshoot with guesswork.

Season Control HVAC has been in business since 2001, with over 25 years of HVAC service across Greater Los Angeles. We diagnose failing package units accurately, determine whether repair or full replacement makes more sense for your situation, and handle rooftop access planning so the job gets done safely and correctly. If your unit is short-cycling, blowing warm air, or making unusual noises, contact us to schedule a thorough evaluation.

Rolling Hills Estates sits in the South Bay coastal zone of LA County, where persistent marine layer and salt-laden air create a uniquely harsh environment for rooftop HVAC equipment. Properties across Rolling Hills Estates and the surrounding South Bay frequently rely on package units, especially where yard space or building layout makes split system installation impractical. These all-in-one rooftop systems are convenient but vulnerable to accelerated wear from coastal exposure. Condenser coils corrode faster, drain pans collect moisture that promotes biological growth, and electrical contacts degrade sooner than they would further inland. Homeowners and property managers in this area often face package unit repair and replacement needs year-round rather than on a predictable seasonal schedule. Season Control HVAC understands these patterns from 25 years of solving these problems in Greater Los Angeles. We also serve nearby South Bay communities including Carson, El Segundo, and Gardena, giving our technicians deep familiarity with the equipment and conditions found throughout this region.

  • Complete package unit diagnosis including electrical, refrigerant, and airflow testing on rooftop-mounted equipment
  • Rooftop unit repair addressing corrosion damage, compressor failure, control board issues, and blower motor problems
  • Full package unit replacement with proper sizing, curb adapter assessment, and crane or hoist coordination when needed
  • Access planning for rooftop equipment on residential and light commercial properties with varied roof types
  • Honest repair-versus-replace recommendations based on equipment age, condition, and cost of continued service

Package Unit Repair & Replacement in Rolling Hills Estates - FAQ

How do I know whether to repair or replace my package unit?

Several factors guide this decision. If the unit is more than 15 years old, requires a refrigerant that is being phased out, or needs a repair that costs more than half the price of a new system, replacement is usually the better investment. If the unit is newer and the failure is isolated to a single component, repair often makes sense. Our technicians evaluate the full picture and give you a straightforward recommendation.

Why do package units in coastal areas fail sooner?

Salt air and marine layer moisture accelerate corrosion on metal components, especially condenser coils, fasteners, and electrical connections. This wear happens faster than it does inland and can shorten equipment life by several years if the unit is not maintained. Regular inspections help catch corrosion-related problems before they lead to a full system failure.

What does rooftop access planning involve?

Before any rooftop unit repair or replacement, we assess how to safely reach the equipment and move materials on and off the roof. This includes evaluating roof type, slope, load capacity near the unit, and whether crane assistance is needed for a replacement. Proper planning protects both the crew and your property.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Seasons Control. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was seamless and exceeded expectations. Tomar was truly exceptional. He took the time to carefully listen to all of my concerns and specific needs for both my daughter and me. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. The installation crew, led by Pablo, delivered outstanding workmanship. Their communication was clear and timely throughout the entire project. I appreciated their integrity and commitment to doing the job right. They treated our home with care and respect, and the end result was high-quality work that we can trust. I highly recommend Seasons Control to anyone looking for a company that combines technical expertise with excellent customer service. Thank you, Tomar and Pablo, for making this such a positive and stress-free experience. Thank You!

Tomer was on time, and very quickly diagnosed our problem. We have an air conditioner that seemed to have a leak and he gave us all scenarios, and explained everything until we understood how it worked and what we could do in the event of anything else happening to it. I believe he saved us money thanks to his great communication. Now, we understand the unit that we currently have, and what all our options are. Tomer gave us a feeling of relief, because he's definetinely a pro at this. We will be using this company again after our experience with Season Control Hesting & Air Conditioner. Like Tomer said "Now YOU control the air, not the AIR controlling you!" Lol!! Thanks again Tomer!

I have recently replaced an almost 30-year-old HVAC with this servicer through multiple quotations. I am so glad to make the right call. Its quotation is very competitive and the technician(Eric) is well-experienced and knowledgeable in walking me through the whole process in detail. Upon installation is complete, they did thorough testing to check if everything went well; and called me a few days later to follow up with the performance of the unit. I could not be happier with this smooth transaction.
