Heat Pumps & Air Handlers in San Marino

San Marino homeowners planning a heat pump project deserve a contractor who understands the specific needs of properties across San Marino and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley. Whether you are considering a new heat pump installation, need a reliable repair, or want to evaluate whether replacement makes more sense than another fix, Season Control HVAC is here to help. Locally owned and operating in Greater Los Angeles since 2001, we bring over 25 years of HVAC service to every job.

Heat pumps handle both heating and cooling in a single system, making them a practical year-round solution for this climate. Our team works with you to determine the right equipment size and configuration for your home, taking into account your existing ductwork, electrical capacity, and comfort goals. We are licensed (CA #795799) and maintain a 4.9 rating from the homeowners we serve.

San Marino is home to a wide range of residential properties, including many older homes that may still rely on aging furnace and air conditioning setups. Hot summers in the San Gabriel Valley put heavy demands on cooling equipment, and mild but cool winters still require dependable heating. A heat pump can address both seasons with one system, which is especially worth considering when an older furnace or AC unit is due for replacement. Properties across San Marino and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley vary in square footage, insulation quality, and ductwork condition, all factors that influence heat pump sizing and performance. Season Control HVAC, in business since 2001, has worked across this region long enough to understand these variables firsthand. We also serve nearby communities including Alhambra, Arcadia, and Azusa, giving us broad experience with the housing stock and climate conditions common to this part of LA County.

  • Heat pump installation with proper sizing based on your home's layout, insulation, and ductwork
  • Heat pump repair including diagnosis of refrigerant leaks, compressor issues, and electrical faults
  • Heat pump replacement consultations to help you decide when repair costs no longer justify keeping an aging unit
  • Scheduled heat pump maintenance to protect system efficiency and extend equipment life
  • Guidance on selecting the right heat pump type and capacity for properties ranging from compact homes to larger residences

Heat Pumps & Air Handlers in San Marino - FAQ

When should I replace my heat pump instead of repairing it?

If your heat pump is more than 12 to 15 years old and repair costs are approaching half the price of a new system, replacement is usually the better investment. Frequent breakdowns, rising energy bills, and refrigerant leak repairs on older units are common signs that the system is nearing the end of its useful life. Our technicians can assess your equipment and give you a straightforward comparison of repair versus replacement costs.

What size heat pump do I need for my home?

Heat pump sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, window area, ceiling height, and ductwork condition. An undersized unit will struggle to keep up on hot days, while an oversized unit cycles on and off too frequently, wasting energy and reducing comfort. We perform a load calculation specific to your home before recommending equipment.

Can a heat pump handle both heating and cooling in San Marino?

Yes. A heat pump operates as an air conditioner in summer by moving heat out of your home and reverses the process in winter to bring heat in. The San Gabriel Valley climate is well within the operating range of modern heat pumps, making them effective for year-round use.

How often should I schedule heat pump maintenance?

We recommend professional maintenance at least once a year, ideally before the peak cooling season. Regular service includes checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils, inspecting electrical connections, and verifying thermostat calibration. Consistent maintenance helps prevent unexpected breakdowns and keeps operating costs in check.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Seasons Control. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was seamless and exceeded expectations. Tomar was truly exceptional. He took the time to carefully listen to all of my concerns and specific needs for both my daughter and me. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. The installation crew, led by Pablo, delivered outstanding workmanship. Their communication was clear and timely throughout the entire project. I appreciated their integrity and commitment to doing the job right. They treated our home with care and respect, and the end result was high-quality work that we can trust. I highly recommend Seasons Control to anyone looking for a company that combines technical expertise with excellent customer service. Thank you, Tomar and Pablo, for making this such a positive and stress-free experience. Thank You!

Tomer was on time, and very quickly diagnosed our problem. We have an air conditioner that seemed to have a leak and he gave us all scenarios, and explained everything until we understood how it worked and what we could do in the event of anything else happening to it. I believe he saved us money thanks to his great communication. Now, we understand the unit that we currently have, and what all our options are. Tomer gave us a feeling of relief, because he's definetinely a pro at this. We will be using this company again after our experience with Season Control Hesting & Air Conditioner. Like Tomer said "Now YOU control the air, not the AIR controlling you!" Lol!! Thanks again Tomer!

I have recently replaced an almost 30-year-old HVAC with this servicer through multiple quotations. I am so glad to make the right call. Its quotation is very competitive and the technician(Eric) is well-experienced and knowledgeable in walking me through the whole process in detail. Upon installation is complete, they did thorough testing to check if everything went well; and called me a few days later to follow up with the performance of the unit. I could not be happier with this smooth transaction.
