Heat Pumps & Air Handlers in Costa Mesa

If you own a home in Costa Mesa and you are planning your next move on heating and cooling, a heat pump deserves serious consideration. Heat pumps handle both heating and cooling in a single system, which makes them a practical fit for older and newer homes alike throughout Costa Mesa. Whether your current equipment is losing efficiency, you are building out a renovation, or you simply want a smarter way to manage indoor comfort year-round, Season Control HVAC can help you evaluate your options and get the work done right.

We are locally owned and have been operating in Greater Los Angeles since 2001, bringing over 25 years of licensed HVAC experience to every project. Our team works directly with Costa Mesa homeowners on heat pump installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement, always sizing and selecting equipment based on the actual conditions of the home.

Costa Mesa properties range from mid-century single-family homes to newer townhomes and condos, and heat pump issues vary across that mix. Older homes may have ductwork that needs modification or may benefit from ductless mini-split heat pumps. Newer construction sometimes comes with builder-grade heat pump systems that underperform after a few years and need repair or replacement sooner than expected. HOA restrictions in certain Costa Mesa communities can also affect where outdoor equipment can be placed, so proper planning matters before any installation. The mild but variable Orange County climate means heat pumps run year-round here, cycling between heating and cooling modes depending on the season. That continuous use makes routine maintenance essential to avoid refrigerant leaks, compressor wear, and other common problems. With 25 years of licensed work in Greater Los Angeles, Season Control HVAC understands these local factors and accounts for them in every recommendation we make.

  • Heat pump installation sized and configured for your specific Costa Mesa home layout and ductwork
  • Heat pump repair including diagnosis of refrigerant leaks, compressor issues, and electrical faults
  • System replacement with guidance on selecting the right equipment for your home's square footage and layout
  • Scheduled heat pump maintenance to keep your system running efficiently through every season
  • Consultation on ductless and ducted heat pump options for homes with HOA placement restrictions

Heat Pumps & Air Handlers in Costa Mesa - FAQ

What should I expect during a heat pump installation in my Costa Mesa home?

Our team starts with an in-home evaluation to assess your existing system, ductwork, and electrical setup. We then recommend equipment based on your home's size and layout. Installation typically takes one day for a straightforward replacement, though homes that need ductwork modifications or new electrical circuits may take longer.

How do I know if my heat pump needs repair or full replacement?

If your heat pump is cycling frequently, not holding temperature, or making unusual sounds, it likely needs repair. If the system is over 10 to 15 years old and repair costs are climbing, replacement is usually the more cost-effective path. We walk you through both options so you can make an informed decision.

How often should I schedule heat pump maintenance?

Because Costa Mesa heat pumps run year-round for both heating and cooling, we recommend maintenance at least twice a year. Regular service catches issues like low refrigerant, dirty coils, and worn contactors before they turn into expensive repairs.

What size heat pump do I need for my home?

Sizing depends on square footage, ceiling height, insulation, window exposure, and ductwork capacity. There is no single answer that applies to every home. We perform a load calculation during the consultation to determine the correct size for your specific property.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Seasons Control. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was seamless and exceeded expectations. Tomar was truly exceptional. He took the time to carefully listen to all of my concerns and specific needs for both my daughter and me. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference. The installation crew, led by Pablo, delivered outstanding workmanship. Their communication was clear and timely throughout the entire project. I appreciated their integrity and commitment to doing the job right. They treated our home with care and respect, and the end result was high-quality work that we can trust. I highly recommend Seasons Control to anyone looking for a company that combines technical expertise with excellent customer service. Thank you, Tomar and Pablo, for making this such a positive and stress-free experience. Thank You!

Tomer was on time, and very quickly diagnosed our problem. We have an air conditioner that seemed to have a leak and he gave us all scenarios, and explained everything until we understood how it worked and what we could do in the event of anything else happening to it. I believe he saved us money thanks to his great communication. Now, we understand the unit that we currently have, and what all our options are. Tomer gave us a feeling of relief, because he's definetinely a pro at this. We will be using this company again after our experience with Season Control Hesting & Air Conditioner. Like Tomer said "Now YOU control the air, not the AIR controlling you!" Lol!! Thanks again Tomer!

I have recently replaced an almost 30-year-old HVAC with this servicer through multiple quotations. I am so glad to make the right call. Its quotation is very competitive and the technician(Eric) is well-experienced and knowledgeable in walking me through the whole process in detail. Upon installation is complete, they did thorough testing to check if everything went well; and called me a few days later to follow up with the performance of the unit. I could not be happier with this smooth transaction.
